Review on Top 10 Best Hotel in Bangkok
Here are some Reviews on Top 10 Hotels in Bangkok from people who have stayed at these hotel around the world in 2016.
1. The Continent Hotel Bangkok by Compass Hospitality
Once again this hotel has been kind to me. Location and staff friendliness are top notch. I stay at the Continent Sky Room with my partner - free minibar consumption. Only downside was the non-fridge minibar wasn't replenish daily and the corner room was abit small, but the view from the corner room was fantastic.
Managed to catch up with some staffs I met from my last visit. Fairy personally helped us with our check-in and check-out, very cheerful lady.
Overall another great stay, but always room for improvement.

“Great City Center Location plus Great Facilities plus Great Staff”
The friendliness of all staff in the hotel was outstanding. We loved the boutique character and setup of the hotel very much. This will become our permanent base when travelling to Bangkok!
Very nice rooftop and pool facilities, much important in Bangkok.
Last but not least very comfortable limo airport transfer!

“Very nice boutique hotel”
I can highly recommend this hotel. Nice location, very nice lobby, rooms and restaurant. Even though the pool is rather small, its nice located high up in the building with a perfect view of the surrounding skyscrapers. The gym is well equip and also have a nice view.

“Excellent Premium Hotel”
Excellent rooms, with excellent service to go with it. I am a regular patron at this hotel and the high standards set had always been maintained throughout. The hotel makes it an effort to know on how I would want my bed to be done. The welcome drinks are also a differentiation to other hotels. This is definitely the hotel to go for if you wish to have an good night sleep and its gym facilities are excellent as well.

3. Centara Grand at Central World
I have been critical of the hotel in the past, yet come back quite often, simply because of convenience. This time however I have to give credit where credit is deserved and it is in spades.
Upon my check in and the routinely asked question "May i have your passport please" I realized that I have forgotten my small handbag with said passport in the taxi which just dropped me off. The reception staff, actually the Duty Manager Khun Noppa mart, was fantastic and took immediate action checking with security about CCTV footage, etc. She truly went out of her way to make sure that everything there is to be done to get my things back will be done. A big thanks to her and her team.
Due to her quick action and efforts I managed to get my stuff back the next day.
Other feedback: had the Oktoberfest buffet and was quite decent. We also went to Uno Mas on the upper floor (have been a few times) and enjoyed it again....although after now 3 times there it gets a bit repetitive.

"Fantastic Location"
I decided on this hotel based on a friend's recommendation and it was great! The location was the best as it was very central and well, connected to Central World. Once you are linked to the mall, you are also able to link to the skywalk along the BTS and all the other malls nearby, even Platinum Mall! (That's my favourite mall!)
The link on 7th floor leads you straight to the supermarket and also a food court and the cinema. Other that those, there are tons of restaurants on that same level too.
We were very lucky and they gave us a free upgrade to a suite, so my daughter had some a fun time in the big room and we had lots of space too.
We also had breakfast at their World restaurant at level 24 and the variety was good and my husband said the quality is very good too. We enjoyed having their authentic Ice Thai Milk Tea.
The pool was on level 26 with the gym. The gym is very big and they also have classes too. The pool was a little small and not really your 50m lap pool but it's good enough for a nice dip.
The service was good and on our last night, they even send over a fruit platter.
Our daughter also fell ill and they were able to call a doctor in to see her (only an option if you have travel insurance).
Overall, the hotel service was very good and I'm keen to go to their other branches around Thailand. (The price can be cheaper and it would be better!)

4. Centara Watergate Pavillion Hotel Bangkok
"Great Location for Shopper"
This hotel is situated right in the middle of 3 shopping malls - indra, platinum, pratunam.
The rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed. We didn't try any of the restaurants in the hotel or have breakfast so can't really comment on that.
We had a complimentary back and head massage at their spa and were really impressed with it, so we booked a 60 minutes full body massage for the next day. The soothing massage helped alleviate all our aches and pains from the days of shopping.
What I liked:- the bathroom was really funky with a tubular see thru. shower.
What I didn't like:- the entrance of hotel is at the back of the building which adds to your walk back from shopping.

“Appreciated the thoughtfulness and security of the hotel.”
Especially happy and appreciated the thoughtfulness and security of the hotel as it is part of their process and procedure to write down all the taxi/car number plates and/or destination that stopped at the hotel.
To me, as a female tourist who is traveling alone to a foreign country where I cannot speak the local language and i had to travel outside Bangkok to purchase something. Security and peace of mind was important to me when I am in a taxi with a stranger, which I felt safe during my stay because the hotel take down all taxi/car number plates and/or destination.
In addition, I appreciated the hotel provided us with an honest approximate fares amount to travel from destination A to destination B, which did not happen during my first few times in Thailand.
Distance from the hotel to one of the shopping centre is approximately 5-10 minutes walk but along the way, there are plenty of little tiny clothes and food stalls. Hotel is next to the night market.

5. Oriental Residence Bangkok
“What a great place to stay”
First time staying in Bangkok and the Oriental Residence was a great choice.
The room was big and very well maintained. Nice view over the city and close to the park.
The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help. The guys at the front door had good English skills and were always able to help me when i wanted some help on how to get to a particlular location. Full marks guys.
I
It was only the equivalent of $10 for a taxi into Bangkok itself (depending on the time of day of course) and only 10 minute walk to the train station, so location was good.
There were many restaurants nearby which we tried and also some very good massage places.
The dining area - Cafe Claire is a bit of a misnomer - its more than a cafe. One night, we both decided to have the steak dishes for a change. I have to say it was the best pepper steak i have ever experienced. Full marks for the food.
The hotel was spotless and modern and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the 5 days we stayed there. Nice touch for my birthday where they left a plate of small desserts with a happy birthday message written in chocolate syrup. Unexpected but a very nice gesture.
We would definitely stay there again.pent 2 nights here. Staff were very welcoming on arrival and welcome drinks were provided. We stayed in a twin room which was very spacious with fabulous views of the Bangkok cityscape.
Hotel is located right in the heart of Bangkok and within walking distance of many shopping centres, activities and nightlife. The swimming pool was located on the 4th floor with a deck overlooking the city. Fabulous for a swim and a cocktail under the nightime lights. Bartenders were very friendly full of advice on what to do in order to get the most out of our time in the city.

From the moment we arrived in Bangkok, the experience with the Oriental Residence was enjoyable. The airport to hotel transfer was punctual and comfortable. The staff were friendly and efficient and made us feel welcome.
The room was luxurious and clean, the breakfast buffet delicious. The concierge service was very helpful when organinsing sightseeing.
It was lovely to return to the haven of the Oriental Residence after a day of hustle and bustle in the big city, have a swim and relax. I highly recommend the Oriental Residence and look forward to our next stay there.

6. Grand Diamond Suites Hotel
“A Comfortable Stay...Great Location”
Firstly the room was very generous in size with a separate living/dining/kitchenette and bedroom/ensuite. The actual decor and room were very outdated, the carpets had seen their days and the kitchen had NO cooking utensils, cutlery, crockery at all. The TV in the living area did not work at all but thankfully there was another in the bedroom. We stayed on the 13th floor for 2 nights.
The location was great, quite close to MBK mall and night markets, unfortunately did not get there as it was raining too hard on our last night.

7. Pathumwan Princess Hotel
" Fabulous Stay”
Our second time at the Pathumwan and we wouldn't stay anywhere else in Bangkok but this hotel. The location is perfect attached to the MBK center. The hotel and staff fantastic and the food so delicious. Special mention goes to chef Roberto in the Loop Italian Restaurant.
A must on your visit to Bangkok. Roberto is a chef that takes pride in preparing your food. It certainly shows in the taste and presentation of the food. He is so kind that he comes out to chat with the customers and makes sure that his customers are sastified. I can confidently recommend this hotel and restaurant to anyone. A must when visiting Bangkok.

“Fave Place to Stay"
We love this hotel! We've stayed here previously many years ago (probably 5 - 7 years ago) and loved the location (connected to MBK and the sky train). This was our first stay again in a few years due to exploring other options but this place is hard to beat.
Breakfast is amazing for variety - we chose to eat on the 8th floor most mornings to avoid the crowds and loved that there was just as much food here as the main lobby area. We were staying for our honeymoon on this trip, and out of 30 or so hotels (it was a four month honeymoon - lucky us!) this was the ONLY hotel to really make a big deal out of it! They had placed rose petals on the bed, and provided us with a lovely chocolate cake as well.
Would stay here again for so many reasons - and very good value for the price!

8. Novotel Bangkok Platinum Pratunam
“Comfortable stay with nice and clean rooms”
Location is splendid if you are into wholesale shopping as the hotel shares the same building with Platinum fashion mall. A large big C supermarket is just opposite the road as well.
Rooms are nice, modern and clean. Beds are also pretty comfortable.
We booked a superior room with a king sized bed and was offered an upgrade to an executive room with breakfast for all of us (2 adults and 2 boys) for about 880 baht a night. We took the offer as we did not want to fret about the breakfast for the little fussy eaters. Being in the executive room, we also had access to the executive lounge which was nice.
I In terms of transport, the hotel is not exactly too near the trains (BTS, MRT). Hence, if you are coming from the airport, taxi is probably the best option. They do have a tuk tuk in the hotel that shuttles to a BTS station, and also Siam Paragon area. However, I felt that they could do better with having more tuk tuks available instead of just one.
The breakfast buffet spread was above average. However, I would recommend that the hotel could perhaps attempt to have more variety as the spread is quite similar every day. By the third day, we were getting rather sick of the breakfast.
We also noted that the king sized bed that we had seemed slightly smaller than the usual king sized bed that we experienced from other hotels. As we did not had an additional bed, having 4 of us on the same bed felt a little tight. On the contrary, we had a larger king sized bed in Grand Mercure Phuket a few months ago and it was very spacious.
Despite these minor shortfalls, the hotel is nice, and served by great staff. I would still recommend this hotel.

9. Glow Pratunam
“Location”
I It's all about the location as mentioned by other reviewer. This hotel so centrally located close by to all major malls but entrance is sideways and most taxi drop by on the main entrance of the mall. Then we realize the entrance to hotel is sideway.
Rooms are pretty mid size and bed is soft.I find house keeping staff, Restaurant staff smiling & greeting all the time but strangely reception Staff not much smiling & try to keep looking at the computer monitor all the time trying to avoid eye contact.
You get this toiletries kit, tooth paste in it for some reason not opening through front nozzle rather back side.
Breakfast is good with good spread.wifi is per device basis only & Super speed and consistent.
So So if you are into shopping, good place to stay here. I would definitely book this hotel next time as I loved it.

"It was comfortable"
What I liked about the hotel was the service. Every time we called the housekeeping, they were very prompted in attending to us. It will take them less than 10 mins to attend to our request.
The control of the lightings and aircon that's besides the bed was a plus point! We do not have to get out of the bed to switch on/off the lights. Just a click of the button besides our bed. The bed was really comfortable too. I was always in a deep sleep during my 4 nights there.
With regards to the location, I would prefer to stay near the BTS. If your itinerary is to shop at Platinum Mall, Central World and Big C, I would say that it is a great place to say. However, if you would like to travel around using BTS, the location would be a bit off. It takes about 20 mins to walk to the nearest BTS station. At the end of the day, it depends on your traveling style.
Overall, the hotel was really nice and there are nice street foods around in the morning and evening. You will never go hungry!

10. Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok
“Mission accomplished, especially with kids”
We stayed at the Shangri La Bangkok twice on our trip to Thailand and had a consistent, excellent experience both times. Reading some of the reviews, I was concerned that the hotel was getting tired, but the common areas and our rooms (both river view and modified river view) were in good condition and we were happy. We stayed in the Shangri La wing; the Krungthep wing is closed for reservations.
Superb front desk, doormen, and concierge. Even by standards of Thai hospitality, everyone we encountered was warm and helpful. Location is very convenient: you are right on the Chao Phraya river, so you are close to the shuttle ferry to the Wats and you can book your own longtail boat tour from the hotel's private pier. There's a BTS station around the corner from the back of the hotel.
This is a very kid-friendly hotel. The pool overlooks the river, is good size and has plenty of places for parents to sit. Drinks and food at pool are good, as is service. There's a fish feeding daily that kids can watch on the river. The buffet breakfast at Next2 is pretty amazing in both the selection and quality of the food (and pretty expensive!) and its weekend seafood buffet is impressive (all you can eat top seafood, including prawns and lobsters, and foie gras). Our kids loved the chocolate bar off the main lobby.
All in all, a top-notch stay both times. Add on to that the great pre-paid rates we got, and we are giving a big two-thumbs up.

“My only choice in Bangkok !”
Went to Bangkok and stay in my all time favorite Shangri-La Bangkok Hotel. Ako at the reception was great and Elaine was superb ! They showed us different kind of suites and we settled for the executive suite which is good enough. As two of our group of five do not have free access to Horizon Club lounge, Elaine was so generous that she allow two of us to have the access.
As a result, we spend almost every morning and evening at the fabulous Horizon Club lounge enjoying the beautiful Chao Praya River and superb service and attention by the staffs.
The breakfast at Next 2 Cafe is the best of all the breakfasts we ever have and we cannot wait to revisit Shangri-la Bangkok Hotel again. Keep up the good work !
